I have a plumbing emergency, what should I do?

While you wait for our emergency plumber, clear away any significant things, clean up any water, and put a bucket to catch any drips. You should also switch off the hot water heating if the main water is turned off.

Help, I don’t know where the main water shutoff valve is!

You may have been shown it as a stopcock, isolating valve or toby. This valve is normally located on the boundary near the road, usually under a blue or black plastic cover.
