I have a plumbing emergency, what should I do?

In the meantime, start mopping up any water, place a bucket to catch drips, and remove significant possessions from the affected area. If the house water is turned off, also switch off the heating for the hot water.

Help, I don’t know where the main water shutoff valve is!
